| Welcome
to the web site of the Farr Trailer Yacht Association
of South Australia. The Association was formed in
1980 to preserve and maintain the class rules, standards
and specifications of Farr design yachts and to
promote the sailing activities of owners.
We are an active association of over 60 members
and our activities are centred around the Lower
Murray and Lakes area of South Australia. Association
members are mostly owner's of Farr design yachts
- Farr 5000, 6000, 7500 and 7.4 classes. We also
have a number of associate members who do not
currently own a Farr. Our members belong to various
clubs throughout South Australia with a significant
number sailing with the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club
and Clayton Bay Sailing Cub.
The Association holds the Annual State Championship
Heats for each Farr class, as well as encouraging
cruising and other social activates throughout
the year. Cruising activities have included trips
to Coffin Bay, the Gippsland Lakes and the Whitsunday
Islands. Our social activities include regular
dinners, a Christmas Party, and technical discussions
and information nights.
We welcome new members. Please feel free to contact
us if you would like more information
about our activities and the benefits of joining
our Association.
